Woman arrested after Solihull drugs raids

A 27-year-old has been questioned after West Midlands Police searched homes in Chelmsley Wood

A woman has been arrested and weapons, drugs and cash siezed by West Midlands Police after raids across Solihull.

Four warrants took place around 4am yesterday morning at addresses in Frensham Close and Arbour Way in Chelmsley Wood.

The properties were searched and weapons, cash and drugs were recovered from two addresses.

A 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession with intent to supply class A drugs. She remains in police custody.

The enforcement carried out was as a result of community intelligence.

Sergeant Zaineb Chaanbi from the Solihull Priority Crime Team, said: “We do listen and will act on information that is shared with us around crime that is effecting the community.

“This type of crime has a devastating impact on communities and we will continue to listen and act on information to protect the communities in Solihull and bring offenders to justice.”
