Cracks have been found in some of the trams again

West Midlands Metro says tram services have been suspended until further notice after cracks were found in the bodywork.
The company says they've have been found in some of the older trams 'which require additional checks to be carried out by the manufacturer'.
It's the same issue which suspended services for months at the end of last year.
In a statement, Midland Metro Ltd apologised for the inconvenience and said: "We want to ensure we have a network that is reliable and safe for everyone and we understand first-hand the impact the suspension of services will have on our customers' daily lives.
"These precautionary inspections will greatly reduce the number of trams available for operation which is why we have had to take the decision to suspend the service.
"We understand the frustration many people will feel at this latest interruption and sincerely apologise for any inconvenience it may cause."
It said inspecting all trams "does take some time and we are aiming for this to be completed this week".
Tickets are being accepted on some National Express bus services and on West Midlands Railway and Avanti West Coast trains between Birmingham and Wolverhampton.
