Family, friends and the community will gather in Lanesfield today to march from the spot where 16-year-old Ronan was stabbed to death.

It will start at Mount Road and go to The Khalsa Academy.

Everyone is invited to gather at 1pm, where Ronan's parents, sister and others will give speeches before the march sets off.

People attending will wear 'Justice for Ronan' T-shirts and hoodies, which are being sold on a fundraising website.

Marchers will also be carrying banners to raise awareness about the online sales of knives and the crime itself.

Ronan's dad, Chander, said: "We can't recover from this, we've lost our innocent boy and for what. This has destroyed our family."

Ronan's mum, Pooja, said: "My son did nothing wrong, he was two doors away from his house. I don't know how much further I can live past this grief. I miss my boy so much."

Ronan was stabbed last June when he was walking back from a friend's house after buying a PlayStation controller. He was steps from his front door when he was stabbed twice from behind and left to die alone in the road.

Two 17 year olds, from Walsall, Prabjeet Veadhesa and Sukhman Shergill, were found guilty and sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court last Thursday to a combined total of 34 years for Ronan's murder.

Ronan's family have since launched an anti-knife crime campaign and working with their local MP, Pat McFadden, have visited Parliament to present their work to MPs.

All proceeds from the t-shirts and hoodies will go towards tackling knife crime. You can find out more here.
