Hundreds are expected to gather outside the Hippodrome Theatre in Birmingham tonight for a candlelit vigil in memory of Brianna Ghey.
Sixteen year old Brianna was stabbed to death last weekend in Warrington, Cheshire.
A 15-year-old girl and 15-year-old boy have been charged with her murder.
Police are now say they're looking into whether it was a hate crime.
Tonight, mourners in Birmingham will light candles, take part in speeches and have a moment of silence in remembrance of Brianna.
Vigils have been taking place around the country with organisers calling for more protection for the trans community.
Eva Echo, is a trans activist and part of Birmingham Pride and said: "It's an event the trans community can come together with allies and support each other as well.
"The news of what happened to Brianna has hit everyone really hard and sent shockwaves through the community.
"It is such a shame we are gathering under such circumstances but it will be immensely powerful and emotional.
"It's a moment to come together to remember Brianna and remember trans lives."
A gofundme has been set up to raise money for Ghey's family and to help with funeral costs.
It's so far raised over £98,000.
