Three men have been jailed for their part in the death of a man who was stripped naked and beaten to death in an industrial estate.

Mark Campbell, Simmion Goldbourne and James McGhee were jailed today at Wolverhampton Crown Court for inflicting fatal injuries on Carl Woodall, 44, in Rowley Regis, West Midlands in the early hours of 28 June last year.

Mark Campbell, 40, and Simmion Goldbourne, 28 were both sentenced to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 36 years each.

James McGhee, 28, received a sentence of 15 years imprisonment for manslaughter.

Mark Paul of the CPS said: “I cannot even begin to comprehend the horror of Carl Woodall’s final moments during the vicious and sustained attack that claimed his life. The cruelty which was meted out to him by the defendants is incomprehensible. Their actions have caused immense pain to Mr Woodall’s family and friends, and while no sentencing outcome can return Mr Woodall to those that love him, I hope it brings them comfort that justice has been done today. My thoughts remain with Mr Woodall’s family and friends at this very difficult time for them.”
