Two men charged with attempted murder following Perry Barr shooting

Two men have been charged with attempted murder following a shooting in Perry Barr last month.

Shots were fired in Glendower Road, Perry Barr, on 18 May.

Windows at a property were damaged and following extensive enquiries two men have since been arrested.

Shomari Mapp, 21, and Aairus Rehman, 18, have now both been charged with attempted murder, possession of a firearm and ammunition with intent to endanger life, and arson.

Rehman was remanded to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today (6 June).

Mapp appeared before magistrates on 28 May and was remanded ahead of a further hearing on 21 June at Birmingham Crown Court.

On their website, West Midlands Police say they are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
