Jay Blades from Wolverhampton is charged with controlling and coercive behaviour

According to court documents, the charge relates to his wife Lisa Zbozen.

It's understood the couple split in May, after getting married in November 2022.

West Mercia Police say that the 54 year old from Claverley appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Friday morning charged with engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour.

The BBC presenter, who fronts primetime TV show The Repair Shop, has been released on bail and will appear at Worcester Crown Court on October 11th.

The furniture restorer was made an MBE for services to craft in 2022.

Blades also presented the BBC's Money For Nothing until 2020, appeared on Celebrity Masterchef and Celebrity Bake Off as well as Comic Relief and delved into the history of the West Midlands and the East End for two Channel 5 documentaries.
