Teenager shot in Ladywood

Police are investigating after a teenager suffered serious injuries following a shooting in Ladywood, Birmingham, yesterday (5 Nov).

They were called to an address in Lighthorne Avenue at around 12.30pm to reports a 16-year-old had suffered gunshot injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition today.

Police have been carrying out enquiries in the area as they continue to establish exactly what happened and who was involved.

They've got officers on patrol in and around the area to offer reassurance and be a point of contact for anybody with concerns.
