Teen charged after armed police raid property in Birmingham
A 17-year-old is due in court today (8 Nov) after a gun was found in Sheldon, Birmingham.
A teenager has been charged after a gun was found at a property in the Sheldon area of Birmingham.
Armed officers raided the property yesterday morning (7 Nov) as part of a Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCUWM) investigation.
In a bedroom, a live handgun loaded with ammunition was found.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested and has now been charged with possession of a firearm. He was appearing before magistrates in Birmingham today.
The arrest is part of Operation Target - the ongoing commitment to tackle serious and organised crime in the West Midlands.
