Officers from the police County Lines Taskforce conducted 14 drug warrants across Birmingham, Solihull, and Sandwell this morning (11 Jun).

Seven men aged 23, 26, 31, 40, 42, 46, and 57, were all arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and remain in police custody.

Several phones thought to be used for drugs lines were seized at the properties and will be forensically investigated.

Detective Inspector Kay Thompson from the County Lines Taskforce, said: "Following enforcement carried out this morning, we made significant arrests in our pursuit of targeting those involved in the supply of drugs.

"We will continued to pursue those involved in the supply of drugs because we know that it causes misery to our communities and it exploits vulnerable people.

"We are relentless in our fight against organised crime."

But our actions do not stop at enforcement and we know that by taking this supply off the streets of Birmingham, we have left a void that can so easily be filled. We know that there will be many users seeking an alternative supply and we want to let them know that we are working with support agencies who are there for them right now.
