Save Dudley Libraries campaign "vital" for communities say members
It's been backed by Lenny Henry as well.
A campaign has been launched to save libraries in Dudley after the announcement of cuts to the service.
Dudley Council are planning to cut 30 percent of the budget for libraries and archives over the next three years.
Residents fear it could mean closure for the libraries.
Well the campaign has been backed by many with over 2,000 signature so far.
Even Dudley-born comedian Lenny Henry has signed and is backing the campaign.
Many other groups and organisations have teamed up to help the campaign.
One of those is Dudley's Student Union. Mollie Hehier is from the SU and said: "There's just a lot of local history around them.
"In Dudley we don't have museums or community hubs, so libraries are places people can go to enjoy themselves and meet friends."
On Thursday 18 May, a protest will be taking place outside Dudley Council House.
