The Prince and Princess of Wales visited the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham today, attracting hundreds of people to cheer and wave them on.
They first made a visit to the Indian Streatery which is run by the Sharma family. The restaurant, which is home to an all-female chef team, started life as a street food stall in Digbeth and was a firm favourite at the city’s Digbeth Dining Club.
They even tried their hand at making a handmade roti, a simple flatbread often served with cooked vegetables and curries.
They then visited The Rectory, where they met with playwrights, artists and designers about the future of the creative industry in the city.
Some people in the crowd had been there since 10:30 am to get a glimpse of the royals and there were also some Aston Villa fans who were excited to meet the Royal supporter.
William was even gifted his first packet of crisps by a member of the crowd! He told her he would eat them on the train back.
