Reflection garden opened by West Midlands charity Acorns Children's Hospice
Hundreds of hearts have been planted at Arley Arboretum
A reflection garden, which has hundreds of hearts planted in memory of lost loved ones, has opened following an appeal by Acorns Children's Hospice.
The display at Arley Arboretum in Worcestershire was officially unveiled by Christine Debney, whose daughter Hannah was cared for by the charity.
Hannah, from Stourbridge, was diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a rare connective tissue disorder, at 16-years-old, and passed away when she was 17.
Christine says the support her and her family received from Acorns at their Walsall centre really helped, and the garden allows for Hannah's legacy to live on.
"I feel that it's keeping Hannah's memory alive," she said.
"She wanted us to all enjoy life, she made us promise to do that, and I feel that being here for this is part of the celebration of her life.
"During the time at Acorns, we were able to spend that whole time with Hannah, we were there as a family which was just so important, and they've been amazing with us."
