Birmingham City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge has reported an allegation of racism during the game against Blackburn Rovers in the FA Cup.

The referee delayed the restart as a result and spoke to both head coaches and captains.

In a statement published on its website, Birmingham City say the club will assist the FA and authorities - and gives its full support to Neil.

"There is no room for racism in this game."

Blackburn Rovers has published its own statement - saying that allegations of this nature are taken extremely seriously.

"The club has a zero tolerance policy for all forms of abuse and discrimination, and will take the strongest possible action against any individuals identified for committing such offences."

The game finished 2-2 and a replay will take place at St Andrew's on 31 January.
