Police are investigating an alleged kidnapping in Sutton Coldfield.

A group of men were seen to be involved in a scuffle in Far Highfield at around 3.20pm yesterday afternoon (14 March).

They were said to have made off in grey Skoda with the registration number DX18 VLE.

Officers say they've spoken to a number of witnesses who saw a man being bundled into the car and driven off against his will.

There are no reports of any missing people to verify who this person might be, and detectives say the priority at the moment is to find the car and make sure that all of the people involved are okay.

Detective Sergeant Simon Hanlon, from West Midlands Police's complex investigation team said: "We remain very concerned that someone may have been taken against their will and we are doing all we can to verify this and to find that person.

"We need to trace the car and I would urge absolutely anyone with information to come forward and make contact so we can establish what’s happened and more importantly that the people involved in the incident are safe.

"I also want to hear from anyone who saw the grey Skoda, in the area before or after the alleged kidnapping – this information is vital for officers trying to locate CCTV evidence and can help us piece together the timeline of events.”
