Matheus Nunes has completed a club record transfer to Premier League champions Manchester City after only a year at Molineux.

The Portuguese midfielder arrived last August and played 39 times.

He came on a club record fee.

Nunes will now look set to make a play at the Etihad stadium in a permanent move.

However, Wolves have made a season-long loan signing for Manchester City midfielder Tommy Doyle.

Doyle spent his last season on loan at Sheffield United and helped them seal club promotion to the Premier League.

He was also part of the England squad who won the European U-21 Championship earlier this year.

The deal to Wolves includes a 50 percent sell-on clause for City if the deal for the 21-year-old becomes permanent.

Wolves do have an option to buy Doyle for 4.3 million pounds.
