A 32 year old man has been charged with murder after a man was fatally injured in Wolverhampton on Saturday night.

Dawid Arent, of Hordern Road, is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today.

A 73 year old man was attacked at a house in the Hordern Road area of the city just after 11:30pm on Saturday and died in hospital.

Police say they're not looking for anyone else in connection with what happened.

They think the incident is related to a domestic dispute.

Detective Inspector Ranj Sangha, of West Midlands Police said:

“My thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has tragically lost his life.

“Sadly we believe that it is domestic related and we’re not looking for anyone else at this stage.

“We’re carrying out a forensic examination of the scene, speaking to potential witnesses and viewing CCTV in the area.

“I’d ask anyone with any information to please contact us.”
