West Midlands Police say they've launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed in Bartley Green on Saturday night.

A man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene on Roundlea Road at around 11pm.

Detectives say they're trying to work out what happened, with a cordon in place as forensic examinations are carried out.

Officers are also carrying out house to house enquiries in the area.

Detective Inspector Jim Colclough, from the force’s homicide unit, said: “We are in the very early stages of our enquiry and we would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this tragic death.
