West Mercia are appealing for information after two drivers were killed in a fatal car crash in Market Drayton.

Officers were first alerted to the incident, which took place on the A41 / A53 Tern Hill roundabout and Muller Island roundabouts at midnight on Saturday morning (September 7th).

During the crash, a Volkswagen Passat was seen to collide with a Nissan Almera, with emergency services arriving soon afterwards.

Two men - a man in his 20s and a man in his 40s - were sadly killed in the crash and were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third victim, believed to be the passenger of the Passat was taken to be treated at the Royal Stoke University Hospital for their injuries.

Currently, the person remains in a serious condition in hospital, but the injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.

An investigation has been set up in order to look into the events that caused the deaths of the two drivers.

Anyone with relevant information is being urged to get in touch, specifically if the crash took place or saw either of the cars in the lead-up to the incident.

Those who may have any added accounts that could help investigators can get in touch with PC Simon Fearn by emailing simon.fearn@westmerica.police.uk.
