Two-year-old injured as man stabbed outside West Brom pub

A two-year-old boy's been injured during an incident where a man was stabbed outside a pub in West Bromwich.

West Midlands Police say they were called to reports of violent disorder outside The Flowerpot at 6.40pm last night (Sunday 6th October).

A 24-year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where he remains today.

A two-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with minor injuries thought to have been caused during the incident.

Detectives have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.

An area of Spon Lane has been sealed off so that specialist teams can conduct a thorough investigation.

Detective Sergeant Paul Cook, from force CID, said:

“I understand the concerns of the community and would like to offer reassurance that we’re doing all we can to establish what happened yesterday and find those responsible.
