A drug dealer has been jailed after police recovered heroin and bullets after raiding his home in Birmingham.

Officers acted on information and executed a warrant at Delivio Burke's home in Kingstanding in May this year.

After searching the address, they discovered Class A drugs, three bullets and a can of CS spray.

The 22-year-old, of Clapton Grove, admitted possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply, having ammunition, and a weapon for discharging a noxious gas.

He was jailed for three years and a month at Birmingham Crown Court on Tuesday (26 November).

Detective Inspector Jon Green, from the Major Crime Unit, said: “This was a great recovery by our local proactive team.

"Drugs and weapons have no place in our community and I hope this sentence acts as a deterrent to other young people on the boundaries of such criminality."
