Man dies in hit-and-run on A34 in Aston
Three people have been arrested after a hit-and-run on the A34.
A man has died after being involved in a hit-and-run in Aston last last night.
Two cars collided on the A34 near Victoria Road at about 11:45pm yesterday (28 Oct), killing one man and injuring several others.
A Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and a Ford Focus were involved. The man in his 20s was a rear-seat passenger in the Focus when the crash happened and died at the scene.
Another passenger from the Focus was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while three others weren't seriously injured.
The occupants of the Mitsubishi vehicle left the scene but two men presented at hospital earlier this morning and have since been arrested.
The men, aged 18 and 19, have been detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and are now in custody for questioning.
A 41-year-old man has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and is also in custody.
West Midlands Police said: "We believe there was at least someone else in the Mitsubishi and we're appealing for them to come forward and tell us what happened.
