Man dies in A44 collision

A man has died in a collision on the A44 in Herefordshire.

Emergency services were called just before 9:30 this morning to the incident.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson, said: “We were called at 09.33am to a road traffic collision involving a motorbike on Monkland Road in Stag Batch, Hereford.

"A paramedic officer and a BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene. Upon arrival, we found a man who was the motorcyclist.

"Unfortunately, it was clear that nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased by ambulance staff at the scene.”

The road remains closed.
