Man, 19, charged with terrorism offences in Birmingham

He was arrested in April as part of a pre-planned police operation

A 19-year-old man from Birmingham has been charged with terrorism offences.

Adam Mahmood will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today (17 October), charged with disseminating terrorism material.

He was arrested in April 2024 from a residential address, by detectives from Counter Terrorism Policing West Midlands CTP.

Police said the arrest was part of a pre-planned operation.
