Man charged with manslaughter after death of man in Birmingham

A 50-year-old was found with serious head injuries in Handsworth last week.

A man has been charged with manslaughter after a 50-year-old man died from serious head injuries in Birmingham.

Raymond Isherwood, 26, of George Street, Handsworth, will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 7 June.

This is after Jason Smith died from his injuries following an incident in Chapel Street on 28 May.

Two women aged 28 and 32 arrested in connection with Mr Smith’s death have since been released.

A woman has been released with no further action, while another woman has been released on bail.
