Man charged over fatal collision in Washwood Heath

A man is due in court today after a cyclist died following a collision in Washwood Heath in 2020.

Kashif Khan, aged 24, was arrested at Birmingham Airport yesterday evening (Tuesday) as he returned to the UK and he has now been charged.

Khan was held in police custody overnight and is set to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today charged with causing death by dangerous driving.

Cyclist Andell Goulbourne, aged 59, was struck by a car on Washwood Heath Road at around 11.10pm on Thursday 30 July, 2020 and died at the scene.
