A man who now lives in Walsall after travelling from Afghanistan is wanting give back to the community that welcomed him in.
Fahim Zazai MBE arrived over twenty years ago and now works to help others doing the same.
He's set up a support centre for refugees travelling to the UK, so they don't go through any struggles that he did.
At the 'Afghan Community and Welfare Centre' people can learn skills, languages and get advice about how to settle in the UK.
During the recent Coronavirus crisis he worked tirelessly to raise funds and personally delivered essentials to newly arrived refugees.
Fahim said: "How diverse we can make the society by welcoming refugees from different societies is great.
"It helps to enhance our communities.
"Being a refugee myself, I understand how they feel and their needs when they arrive.
"I love helping them and supporting them in their new life, so they don't go through anything I did."
Fahim was also recently made an MBE for his work in helping refugees.
