Kidderminster man charged for fatal Alvechurch crash

Both a man and his dog were killed as a result of the collision.

James (Jamie) Bullock, 28 years old and from Kidderminster was arrested on Friday 27 August in Stratford-upon-Avon by officers from Warwickshire Police for public order offences.

On Saturday morning he was transferred to the custody of West Mercia Police officers who then charged him with multiple offences in connection with the death of a 63 year old man and his dog on Sunday 15 August.

Bullock was charged following an appeal to the public that he was wanted on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving when he struck a man with the car he was driving in Alvechurch, and fled the scene.

Bullock was charged with the following offences:

  • Cause death by dangerous driving
  • Cause death by driving a vehicle - driver unlicensed / uninsured
  • Aggravated vehicle taking - (initial taker) death caused by accident
  • Use a motor vehicle on a road/public place without third party insurance
  • Driver of a vehicle fail to stop after a road accident
  • Driver of a vehicle involved in a road accident fail to report that accident
  • Drive a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence
  • Commit an act/series of acts with intent to pervert the course of public justice

He has been remanded to appear in court next week.
