Investigation into Perry Common stream turning red underway

An investigation's taking place into why a stream in Birmingham turned red.
The discolouration in the Hawthorn Brook in Perry Common Meadows was first reported on Wednesday.
Writing on X on Wednesday, Perry Common Councillor Jilly Bermingham said she'd been "made aware of strange happenings" in the stream.
She added she had referred it for investigation.
