A bench has been unveiled on Colmore Row for International Women's Day by Colmore Business Improvement District.

It's been covered in white, purple and green flowers to keep in touch with the colours for the celebration.

The bench has been designed to inspire other women and to reflect on the work women have done across the city.

As well, to think about their own role models and who inspires them.

Nicola Fleetmilne from Colmore BID

Nicola Fleetmilne is the Chair at Colmore BID and said: "As people see it, it's something to remind them about the issue and as a female chair I want to embrace equality as well.

"I feel very lucky to work in property, a male dominated industry, but we are strong females and there are many who work in the industry now.

"It's great to try and be a positive role model for others around us."

The bench will be on display for people to sit on for all of today.
