The Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market is back for 2022, with up to 5 million visitors expected to descend on Victoria Square over the next seven weeks.

Last year was the first time it returned following the pandemic and lockdowns, with nearly 3 million people sampling what the market has to offer.

It runs right up until 23rd December with plenty of things to do, eat and buy from stalls across the city centre.

Victoria Square is decked out with traditional food and drink stalls, and those selling toys and gifts. There's also the return of the Big Wheel and ice rink in Centenary Square.

Cllr Brigid Jones, deputy leader of Birmingham City Council said: "It's a key piece of Christmas in Birmingham. It adds about a £250m to the local economy, it supports about 7,000 jobs.

"Most importantly, it brings in around 5 million people to our amazing city to the theatres, the pantomimes, the pubs and everything else. I'm really pleased to be welcoming everyone back."

Visitors come from all over the UK and Europe to visit the market, demonstrating the appeal of Birmingham during the festive season.
