Four arrested over racially aggravated assaults in Erdington

A man, boy and woman were all struck in the incident following a dispute about parking

Four men have been arrested after two people were racially assaulted on Erdington High Street on 17 May.

Several people were involved in verbal abuse following an alleged parking dispute.

A man, a woman and a teenage boy were struck during the altercation.

Today, two men aged 22, one aged 28 and a fourth aged 34 were arrested today on suspicion of violent disorder and racially aggravated assaults.

They remain custody.

A man aged 45 has already been arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated assaults, and has since been bailed.

He has since been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
