Pair jailed after officers find gun in car in Wolverhampton

Two men have been jailed after a gun was found in a carrier bag on the back seat of a car in Wolverhampton.
24-year-old Omari Johnson-Thomas and 22-year-old Tyreique Hislop were each jailed for five years after admitting possessing a firearm.
Hislop also admitted possessing ammunition.
Wolverhampton Crown Court heard how a Skoda car was tactically stopped near Goldthorn Hill as part of a police operation tackling gangs.
While searching the car, officers found a firearm, converted into a viable firearm; seven rounds of ammunition; and £1000 in cash.
