Ex agency worker at Birmingham mosque charged with sexual offences against boys
Also faces a charge of rape
A former mosque worker has been charged with rape and sex offences against young boys.
Said Daauud, 21, is accused of rape, two sexual assaults, assault by touching on a boy under 13, causing the sexual exploitation of a child, and two charges of causing or inciting a boy under 13 to engage in sexual activity, West Midlands Police said.
The two sex assaults are reported to have happened inside the city-based mosque, which cannot be named for legal reasons, with the other alleged offences taking place elsewhere.
The force said the alleged offences happened over the past few months, and involve four boys.
Daauud was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning following information provided by the mosque.
The defendant no longer works at the mosque, police added.
Daauud, of Birmingham, appeared before Walsall magistrates on Wednesday.
He was remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Crown Court on June 29, the force said.
