Man arrested after E-scooter driver killed in Tamworth collision

A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving

A man has been arrested after an E-scooter driver died in a collision in Tamworth.

It happened on Wednesday 18th December in Masefield Drive at around 7.40pm.

The driver of the car failed to stop.

West Midlands Ambulance Service attended but declared the 47-year-old dead at the scene.

His family are being supported by Staffordshire police specially-trained officers.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody.

He was arrested this morning (19th December) at 3.20am.
