England fans celebrate World Cup win against Wales in Birmingham
Thousands of people flocked to the pubs and bars in Birmingham last night to cheer on England in the World Cup.
It was England's most anticipated football match in the Group Stage last night, and fans in Birmingham flocked to the pubs and bars to show their full support.
Chants and England flags filled Broad Street, as people gathered to watch the action and partied into the night.
Crowds erupted around the city when Rashford scored the first goal at the start of the second half, closely followed by Foden minutes later.
Then Rashford went on to score a third goal, which sealed victory for the England team.
Many fan zones were set up around the city in places like Luna Springs in Digbeth, Heidi's bar and Velvet Music Rooms.
Dani Hadley is the owner of Velvet and said: "The response is equally as good if not better than a summer tournament.
"I just think it's been a welcome opportunity for people to escape the cost-of-living crisis, the bad weather and just immerse themselves in the pinnacle of football entertainment.
"It's had a great impact on business, we have more work for people and we're selling more food and beer.
"It's been a welcome break for people."
Gerald Manton is the Chair of Westside BID and said:" There's a great buzz and atmosphere at the moment. People have really warmed to the games, and I think there's been no impact on spirit from the weather.
"There's been a major boost to footfall in the area and it's just a fantastic event."
England will play again this Sunday at 7pm, as they take on Senegal in the round of last 16.
