Cyclist seriously injured in collision between van and bike in Birmingham
He was taken to hospital after being hit by a van in Northfield, Birmingham, yesterday.
A cyclist is being treated for serious injuries after being involved in a collision between a van and a bike in Northfield, Birmingham, yesterday.
It happened on South Road at around 4:30pm. People passing by helped care for him before paramedics arrived on the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival, we found a man who was the cyclist being cared for by bystanders. He was assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained serious injuries.
“Ambulance staff administered advanced trauma care to him at the scene and he was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.”
“No further patients required treatment.”
