Man attacked with baseball bat in Coventry as appeal launched
West Midlands say he had been hit by two men during the altercation
West Midlands Police are appealing for information after a man was struck using a baseball bat during an assault in Coventry.
Officers were alerted to an incident taking place outside The Standard Bearer pub on Santos Close on May 11th.
The incident took place around 6:30pm, after receiving reports of a man being attacked by two others wielding a baseball bat.
When officers arrived, they found that the men responsible had fled from the scene, while the man attacked also left the scene.
Following lines of enquiry, the force were able to obtain descriptions of the two people holding the bat during the incident.
One man is described as being around 6ft 1ins tall with a full beard; he was reportedly wearing a green t-shirt, black jeans, and a gilet.
The second man was described as being around 5ft 5ins tall and was wearing blue jeans and a multi-coloured t-shirt.
West Midlands Police said that they believe there were "lots of people in the area" at the time of the attack and have urged anyone who may have been in the area to get in touch as quickly as possible.
