Boy, 15, charged with possession of a knife in Birmingham

A 15-year-old is due to appear in court in Birmingham charged with possessing a knife.

Police have charged a boy with possession of a knife in Birmingham on Tuesday night.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested by the Washwood Heath neighbourhood team following reports of someone carrying a weapon in St Margarets Road, Birmingham.

After conducting a search of the area, he was detained in Old Moat Way and a knife was recovered.

He was charged with possession of a knife and is set to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 16 July.
