A teenage boy has been stabbed in Birmingham city centre.

Police were called to Stephenson Place shortly after 4.30pm today (January 18).

The 13-year-old boy has been taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries.

A statement from West Midlands Police said: "We will have more officers in the area tonight to offer reassurance to the public.
