Two people arrested after man suffers stab wounds in Birmingham
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment following the incident
West Midlands Police have confirmed that two people were arrested in connection with a stabbing in Birmingham.
Officers were called to an area on Boulton Road just before 7pm on Saturday evening following reports of an altercation.
When responders arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from stab wounds requiring medical attention.
The victim, whose details have not been given by the force, was taken to hospital shortly afterwards for medical treatment - he currently remains in a stable condition.
Following lines of enquiry, a 33-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested at the scene.
The pair had been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Both continue to remain in police custody while investigations continue.
Meanwhile, an appeal has been launched to the public for information and witnesses to come forward - particularly those who may have been in the area at the time of the attack.
