Bloxwich house fire believed to be caused by exploding gas cannisters

Two people were taken to hospital with burns injuries

Emergency services said they believe a fire at a house in Bloxwich was caused by butane gas canisters inside that exploded.

The incident happened on Monday evening (28th April) at a property on Shrewsbury Close in Bloxwich.

Two men are in a serious condition after they were taken to hospital with burn injuries.

West Midlands Police said that investigations were continuing and that officers were looking into the possibility the address was used to produce cannabis.

Witnesses or anyone with any information is being urged to get in touch with police.
