Bleed kits to be placed in Oswestry
Several bleed kits will be places around the town centre.
Seven bleed kits are set to be installed around Oswestry town centre in the upcoming weeks.
It's after a scheme backed by Councillor Les Maguire, secured the funding for the kits.
The kits will be placed in and around defibrillators in the centre.
Also, the bleed kit itself is specialist first aid function, that is designed to be used by members of the public before paramedics arrive.
The reason behind the need for bleed kits was prompted by two recent incidents that took place in the town.
Councillor Les Maguire said: "It's about saving a life but it's also there as a defence. It's good to have these measures in place just in case."
Well Les isn't stopping there with the motion on the bleed kits with his outlook for more to be provided.
He said: "I am going to write a letter to Shropshire Counci to see if they would like to be involved in getting bleed kits around the whole of Shropshire.
"Also, I've been speaking to a governor at a local school to try and organise a talk to speak to kids about how these bleed kits work."
The kits are to be installed in the upcoming weeks with some last-minute planning still being put in place.
