Four people arrested after attempted murder of man in Birmingham

Three men and one woman were detained by West Midlands Police

Police in the West Midlands have detained four people on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was stabbed in Birmingham.

Officers were called to an address at Dudley Road on the junction of Bellefield Road just before 1:30am on Saturday (August 24th).

When responders arrived on the scene, they found a man requiring immediate medical attention after being slashed.

The man was taken to hospital for further treatment and has now been described as being in a stable condition.

Following the attack, police launched an investigation into the incident and have since arrested three men following the attack on suspicion of attempted murder, aged 26, 29 and 34 respectively.

Similarly, a 22-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder; all four suspects currently remain in police custody and are being questioned.

Officers investigating the attack have said they believe several people were in the area at the time of the attack and have urged anyone who was close to the area to get in touch as soon as possible.
