Birmingham dealer caught with cocaine in his pants is jailed
Khan admitted supplying Class A and Class B drugs, and of having a gun.
A drug dealer has been jailed for almost 10 years after officers shut down a Class A supply network and seized a potentially lethal gun.
Arman Changaz Khan was identified as being a prime operator in the illegal trading of crack cocaine and heroin in the region.
The 24-year-old and an associate was arrested from a car in Lozells Road, Birmingham, on 3 July last year.
He was discovered with more than £1,000 in cash, two mobile phones, and, after being searched, cocaine concealed within his underwear. Analysis of his phones showed he was clearly involved in supplying drugs.
Police were also able to connect Khan to a revolver that was found hidden in a bag within the engine compartment of a vehicle linked to him in Lozells. A thorough forensic analysis revealed Khan's fingerprints on a bag containing bullets and clingfilm around the weapon.
Khan, of Flight Shed Way, Birmingham, admitted being concerned in the supply and Class A and B drugs and possessing a firearm. He was sentenced to nine years and nine months in jail at Birmingham Crown Court last Tuesday (1 August).
Sergeant Gavin McGrath, from the County Lines Taskforce, said: "We know the impact of drugs in our communities; they ruin lives and can lead to further serious crimes.
"We're carrying out daily activity to help us identify, and shut down, County Lines drug networks in our region and put those responsible behind bars.
"A gun in the wrong hands can be lethal and we'll respond to any information we receive to take harmful weapons off the streets."
