Birmingham City FC to pay their respects for Babbs Mills boys this evening
There will be a minute silence before their match against Reading
Birmingham City will pay their respects to the Babbs Mill Lake victims at their match tonight against Reading, after four boys lost their lives in the tragic accident on Sunday.
A period of silence, starting and ending on the sound of the referee's whistle, will take place ahead of kick-off, 8pm, at the Sky Bet Championship game.
Blues Women's team who face London City Lionesses on Saturday will also hold a period of silence ahead of their kick-off at 2pm.
Blues' players and First Team staff will wear black armbands for the matchday's duration.
This follows Men's Head Coach, John Eustace, laying a wreath of flowers and paying his respects on behalf of the Football Club earlier this week.
Mr Eustace, who was born in Solihull, laid a floral wreath of blue and white at the foot of a tree which has become the focal point of mourning near Babbs Mill Lake.
The message said "Sending our deepest condolences and love to those affected by this tragedy, you are in our thoughts, from everyone at Birmingham City Football Club."
And other football clubs in the area are also paying their respects. Aston Villa players Tyrone Mings and John McGinn left tributes to the young boys at the lake on Wednesday.
