Players from Birmingham City Football Club visited staff and patients at Heartlands Hospital yesterday.
The players from the men and women's first teams spent the evening talking to patients in the wards as well as giving out gifts.
The players included Jobe Bellingham, the younger brother of World Cup star Jude Bellingham, who both grew up in Stourbridge.
Charlotte Schofield, Director of Fundraising at University Hospitals Birmingham Charity, told us it wasn't just the patients that were excited: "It's been an incredibly difficult time for our staff, and it really does lift their spirits to see the smiles on the children's faces within their wards."
The Head Coach John Eustace told us: "We're just here to show our support to the community. People at Birmingham City care about the community and care about the people of Birmingham.
"It's not a nice time to be at hospital over Christmas and we want to show our support to all the people who are here," he said.
Blues Midfielder Juninho Bacuna was one of the players at the hospital: "A lot of the kids are blues fans and for them in this situation to see some of the players from the first team, it's really nice. We can help bring a smile to their face and can make their day happier."
