Two in hospital and several injured after Birmingham Christmas Market ride collapses
Several people have been injured and two women have been taken to hospital after a fairground ride collapsed at Birmingham Christmas Market.

Two women are being treated in hospital and several other people have been injured after a fairground ride at Birmingham Christmas Market collapsed last night.
The ride dropped to ground level whilst it was in operation, according to West Midlands Fire Service.
The incident happened at around 7.30pm yesterday evening (12th Dec).
13 people were injured and treated at the scene by paramedics. Two women were treated by ambulance staff and sent to Midland Metropolitan University Hospital.
Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. The rest were given self-care advice and discharged at the scene.
"You can only think the worst"
We spoke to some of the people who were at the scene: "For something like this to happen, it is really scary. There needs to be more security measures at these pop-up markets," said one.
"We did not see what happened. To look at the aftermath and see this kind of state, you can only think the worst," said another.
The area remains cordoned off whilst emergency services operate in the area.
People are being asked to avoid Centenary Square.
