A major emergency response was declared following a multiple-vehicle fire at an industrial park in Birmingham.

Officers were first alerted to the ongoing incident at Seeleys Park shortly after 12:30am on the early hours of Sunday (July 21st).

When responders arrived at the scene on Seeleys Road in the Tyseley area of the city, they found several lorries that had been engulfed in flames.

The force said that some ten fire engines and fifty firefighters were called to the scene to help put out the fire.

A number of local fire stations responded to the fire to create a collaborated effort to help extinguish the flames.

According to the service, the incident took place at a transport and logistics centre, and the fire was calmed down before it spread to a nearby factory unit.

However, in the midst of the fire, four lorries were destroyed in the blaze, that was officially extinguished by 2:40am.

West Midlands Fire Service confirmed that the last of their officers vacated the area just before 10am.

After carrying out initial investigations, officers said the fire started accidentally and was being treated as such.
