This year is Sandwell's biggest ever Fireworks display at Dartmouth Park in West Bromwich.

And the theme is 'Sandwell Goes Global' after the borough's success of hosting the swimming and diving events at the Commonwealth Games this summer.

Tickets for the Saturday Fireworks display have now sold out and there will be no tickets available to purchase on the gate.

But there are still tickets for the 'Illuminated Garden' event tonight where Cbeebies star YolanDA is heading the live stage. There will be a range of light installations and displays and the playground will be lit in Technicolor.

There will also be an Island Family Zone which will offer steel pan fun and bubble performances, as well as a Broadway Zone which will host family theatre performances.

And tomorrow (5th November) will see the largest choreographed fireworks display ever to be hosted in Sandwell.

The park will also be transformed into a mini world stage with The Night Souk Food Zone boasting food from around the world, the Carnevale Zone with a host of funfair rides as well as the Street Bazaar Shopping Zone and Monaco VIP area.

Mollie Jennings-Parkes, the Programme and Events Co-ordinator, says they are wanting to put on their "biggest display ever": "It will be lovely for everyone to get back together, especially after Covid. It's about celebrating being together and about the community."

"This is our first fireworks event since Covid, so it has to be good," she said.

Both the events are open from 5pm until 9pm.
